Hanmer Springs

Hanmer Springs is 90-minutes north of Christchurch, a small alpine village tucked into the base of the mountain ranges and bordered by forests and farmland

Hanmer is best known for the Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools and Spa, an award-winning complex built on the natural thermal waters from beneath the township. The pools are one of New Zealand’s most popular tourist attractions and there are now 15 open-air thermal pools, including rock pools, sulphur pools and aqua-therapy. The international day spa is second-to-none
But Hanmer is so much more than just hot pools. With horse treks, mountain-biking, forest walks, skiing, golf, wineries, bungy-jumping, quality restaurants, jet boat rides, white water rafting and more, there’s something for everyone in Hanmer Springs
